Work
The Google Maps Client Targeting Project is a web-based solution designed to enhance location-based data processing and streamline the extraction of addresses from Google Maps queries.
Utilizing Google Maps API, this project offers an
efficient way to collect and organize address information for specific queries, ultimately contributing to more accurate and targeted client engagement.
This model utilizes cloud computing resources and cloud-native architectures to analyze housing price trends using publicly available
FHFA HPI datasets. I employ data analysis, visualization, and predictive modeling techniques to uncover insights and build
a predictive model for housing price trends.
About
I'm from Atlanta, Georgia.
My journey began during my freshman year of college when I joined Utiliquest as an auditor and dispatcher for the national
underground utilities center. Handling vital tasks like marking out utility areas before excavation, I quickly honed my skills by having attention to detail, effective communication, and analytical thinking.
I transitioned to a seasonal role at a startup called HeatTrak. There, I delved into data cleanup and integration, igniting my passion for streamlining processes.
Utlizing Python, I transformed messy data and integrated files, sparking my interest in eliminating inefficiencies.
I was then offered a position for Inside Sales Support at WEG Electric. Here, I performed data entry and cleanup on SAP and Excel.
It was a shock to me how many companies had tasks that could easily be automated. It was my passion to help people save their time and resources. I studied up on excel formulas, VBA, and even programmed
in a language none of my peers have ever heard of - ABAP. I helped and worked with a lot of teams cross-functionally. I was able to automate mass data transactions and was able to "wow" leadership and different teams. I made a huge impression to the company and engineering team.
I was invited to move to the engineering team at WEG. They liked my background, my current work, and saw a lot of potential in me, despite being a sophmore in college. I worked in this position as an Applications Engineer
for the next 3 years while trying to finish off my electrical engineering degree. Unfortunately, due to extremely stressful family circumstances, I had to put my college career on halt.
Though life threw challenges, causing a pause in my college journey, my commitment to learning never wavered. I continued to excel at WEG, embracing the engineering team's problem-solving ethos. In this role, I was in a highly technical environment dealing with electric motors for pre/post sales.
I really enjoyed the engineering team due to their refreshing approach to problems. Here I learned that many "problems" were just puzzles that can be approached by many different, innovative solutions.
This sort of mentality inspired and aligned with my own learning style. I also enjoyed working so closely with many different teams on big projects from different companies, including my own. I have a huge feeling of accomplishment when I finish a project that multiple teams had to collaborate in.
My hunger to achieve and learn more was not sated.
I kept busy honing my programming skills and finding ways to help the company optimize tasks. I got into more larger scale projects utilizing DevOps and cloud computing practices to handle customer information through multiple applications.
I implimented Optical Character Recognition programs and machine learning to read and identify images and parse data.
Covid was took a hard toll on a lot of people, and I decided that I needed a break from Atlanta and WEG to be closer to my spouse. I am currently enjoying Port Huron, and I work as a freelance Solutions Engineer.
Currently, I create automation projects utilizing all the skills I've honed throughout my career. I am ambitious, quick, and eager to learn.
Feel free to contact me if you'd like to learn more.
